This new panel in the Studio helps with the development of drill-down applications by visualizing the navigation paths between the views and widgets of an application. It also allows the generation of new views by dropping them from the palette onto the designer, configuring navigations through the Properties panel, and more.
Create dynamic dashboards in DataFlex WebApps or via FlexTron in Windows applications that are customizable by end users and consist of configurable tiles / widgets that work individually. The Studios WebApp designer is able to model widgets, and templates are available for the dashboard and widget.
The new Composite class simplifies development when using the cWebDynamicObjectContainer and the development of widgets for the new cWebWidgetContainer. It combines the nesting syntax of objects with reusability of classes and is fully supported in the Studio.
Instead of being a dockable panel within the Studio, the WebApp Designer is now shown as a tab. It behaves the same as the Windows designer, so a file can be toggled between the editor and the designer using F7.
DataFlex 25.0 brings a more modern look and easy-to-navigate Start Center and Workspace Dashboard.
All the JavaScript code of the WebApp Framework has been refactored into actual JavaScript ES6 classes. Previous versions of the framework used so called pseudo classes which has been deprecated with modern browsers. It is recommended to migrate all custom controls to the new format.
The cWebSessionManagerStandard has been extended with default password encryption. A new cPasswordHasher class has been added that uses a modern password hashing algorithm. The password hashes are versioned allowing updates to the algorithm to be done seamlessly in the future.
The recently released Codejock 24.0 is used and included in this release of DataFlex. It includes bug fixes, Windows 11 themes, among other features.
