DataFlex Reports 2017 Beta I
We are pleased to release the beta version of DataFlex Reports 2017, version 6.0. In this version the focus was on improving performance. The product benefits from a function pre-compiler. In reports that uses many functions, we have seen an improved speed of up to 10 times faster. Another area is the performance of summaries, both summary fields and the Sum() function. The layout engine has been looked at to streamline the report generation, make some specific changes possible or better.
Also new is the support for more than 70 types of barcodes, including export to PDF, RTF, HTML or an image.
Functions and function editor changes include the ability to use case statement, and some other very handy enhancements for editing formulas. Check out the Readme to get an overview of all this, and the list of bug fixes that are in version 6.
